Property entrepreneur and apartment owner
My name is Caroline Rooney, and I own and run a property development business in East Dulwich, South East London. An earlier part of my career was spent living and working abroad, satisfying my ‘travel lust’, and I still continue to travel the world whenever I can. Nowadays I spend much of my time seeking out investment opportunities, both at home and abroad, and having found an absolute gem, I decided it was only fair that I share my good fortune with you.
When a fellow property developer introduced me to the Santubong Suites project, my first impression was “all this sounds too good to be true”, but having researched the developer, the resort and comparable projects, everything checked-out, so I decided to fly out to Borneo to take a closer look. I was so impressed with the location, size and quality of the condominiums that I put down a deposit on the spot, and 6 weeks later completed on my purchase. Given my enthusiasm for the project, the Developer – Rewi Bugo – has agreed that I can invite others to profit from investing in this truly unique development. However, as with so many opportunities of this type it really is a question of ‘first come, first served’ and his Company is also marketing the complex to the lucrative Asian, Indonesian and Australian markets.

Santubong Suites Sdn Bhd is an associate company of established property developer Petra Jaya Properties Sdn Bhd. Petra Jaya Properties has developed hundreds of units of residential, commercial and industrial properties in Sarawak since 1988. For its flagship condominium project - Santubong Suites - a special purpose vehicle of the same name was created.
Both companies are led by Rewi H Bugo. Rewi has held the post of Managing Director of Petra Jaya Properties since 1997, and has been responsible for transforming the company from a small property developer into the brand name niche development company that it is today. Rewi also leads several other companies whose primary businesses are property related - from investment holdings to shared land banking and construction. With a Masters of Commerce Degree (1st Class Hons) from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and early experience in project management with multinational companies in the Asia Pacific region, Rewi now leads a dedicated team of over 30 full-time staff to produce real estate of the highest standard in Sarawak.

Chiew Chung Yee (Architect)
Chiew Chung Yee is an Australian graduate with over 29 years architectural experience. He is also a registered Architect with PAM (Malaysian Institute of Architecture) and RAIA (Royal Australian Institute of Architects). Chiew Yee is the sole proprietor of Artemas Architect which was established in 1993 and now has 15 employees all dedicated to providing a first class service and design excellence. Chiew Yee’s experience focuses on the disciplines of architectural design conception, delivery, planning, management and service.
